ABOUT ME

Hi! This is a little description of one smiled guy, who is fascinated with the word, loves people and runs everywhere with old camera made in the early 1970s. Black and white photography is my reason to travel. From each trip I bring photo reportage about people, their problems, dreams, hope, and way to find happiness. I don’t need to see ancient buildings to know history. Real history is written in somebody’s eyes, on somebody’s hands and in their memories. In one human there is a mysterious connection between yesterday, today and tomorrow. History told by living people is only one history I want to hear. I'm convinced that there is nothing impossible! I like sharing that mind with other people and motivating them. As your guest I can be invisible, go sleep on the floor without any word as well I can participate in great party and tell you my story all night long.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are 3 reasons:
1. Thank to CS I can meet local people during some events and this kind of meeting is very important for me. Conversation with you as citizen always improves my knowledge about country, interesting places, habits, traditions and hidden tribes in forest etc.
2. Thank to good people who allow me sleep on their floor I can save some money for my pictures. I’m always very grateful for any help. Without this piece of floor I wouldn’t see so many places.
3. As host I can offer you a couch in Nowa Huta, district of Kraków as well I can be your guide around Leisure Poland.

Interests

Black and white photography is my passion no1. With my camera I try to get to know different corners of the world from citizen’s point of view. I see not only monuments, but first of all I’m curious how local people live, which problems they have and how they see their future. I like finding positive aspects in my surroundings and showing it to other people. I like giving others a little joy and positive energy. One of the best things in people is to see in their eyes great flame of living life, when they speak about their small or big victories or passions. Sometimes I leave everything behind and try to be close to the nature, pure forest, and higher mountains. I like also good music, theater and movies but I rarely have time to see something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience for me was exploring pure forests of Romania full of bears and wolfs. When sun shines everything is ok, but during the deepest night… you will hear thousands of different voices. You can see only darkness around you and listen. It was something incredible for me.

Each year I try to do my ‘Bucket list’ that contains all things I want to do before I die. After few days I forget about this list, but when I find it once, I’m shocked because ca. 60% of tasks were achieved by me.
