CURRENT MISSION

I'm a photographer... or want to be. Finding work is hard and experience is necessary, so for this whole year I am living in SE Asia and travelling to wherever I can to take photos.

ABOUT ME

So, it's probably hard to boil my personality down into a few short paragraphs. But I'll try.

I'm artistically inclined, but I care about politics and world issues. My mission in life is to be able to use photography to help People and the world.

I'm not the most talkative person you'll ever meet, as I'm not the best at small-talk. But get me started on a serious topic and we'll be yakking for hours. I have strong opinions about some things, but am happy to share other viewpoints, bounce ideas around, and gain new insights.

I love the arts: good movies, music, theatre, and fine art. I love photography.

I eat practically anything, and am always up for new culinary experiences. There are a few things that I require in day to day life to survive, one of them is good coffee. Living in Melbourne has spoilt me with coffee I guess.

PHILOSOPHY

My goal in life is to Give more than I Take. If I weighed up my life when I die, I'd like to be able to say that I contributed more to the world than I had taken. I hope that through sensible living and humanitarian work (incl photography), I can accomplish this throughout my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I have never couch-surfed. I wish to do a bit of couchsurfing in the future and hopefully host as well, when I have the chance. Currently my place in bangkok is too small for visitors, but as soon as I upgrade, the doors will open!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

What I am doing right now - Volunteering in Sendai, Japan, to help clean up the affected areas in the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. I'm also taking photos and will try to publish a few stories about the ongoing cleanup efforts.
