I was born into an international family in Madeira Island and have lived in Lisbon over a decade.
As far as my memory goes, I have always had wanderlust despite not having gone as far as I would have hoped to by now. Working in tourism, I have constantly been in touch with many world travellers who have always been a true inspiration to me. Leaping from dreaming to achieving! First stop: New Zealand

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why? Well, from all I hear, it is the best way to be able to admire genuine everyday living, wherever you go. Listening to people's stories, getting to know their secret little spots away from the beaten tracks, experiencing world cooking and sharing recipes - I could go on and on.
I have heard many couch surfing experiences from friends and travellers I have met for quite a few years now but have never tried it myself. I have finally decided to go on a career gap and will be traveling far away from home with my boyfriend who is a professional cook.
