ABOUT ME
~
I, like you, have an insatiable need to travel. To live, learn, feel, sense, touch, experience all I can. I've been a little stagnant the past few years and am craving to change that. I grew up outside NYC, and went to a small private college as was expected. Got a degree in Psychology and Mesoamerican Anthropolgy. Rather than get a job after all that learning, I decided to enter the real world and moved to london. Spent almost a year abroad. Living working travelling, experimenting and wishing I could be a gypsy forever. When I got back to the US, I started massage school and then travelled up to alaska for two summers in a row.
Basically I've gotten to the point in my life where the reality I see around me no longer fits. I want to learn the wisdom of ancient people. I want to know their medicine and compassion, I want to speak with plants better. I want to see how people party in rio and if all girls really do have amazing asses. I want to share my gifts and find others that do not believe the world was created soley for them, let alone humans. I want to see suffering and find ways to end it, I want to be surrounded by bliss and find ways to share it. I wanna buy fancy shoes in Italy and drink the finest Pinots from France. I want to eat Papusas in Bodegas in Peru with elders.
I have three of the most amazing cats I have ever met and they are a concern as I don't know how easy it would be for them to join me. I'm not a crazy cat lady, I just have cool pets that make even a the allergy hypochondriac smile.
I have a very large one bedroom apartment which to me is perfect. Built in the 20's, it retains a lot of craftmanship unlike much of what you see being built in America lately. It is located on the top floor, facing southwest with the most super perfect fantastic light. Big old wood windows, hardwood floors (kitchen has a super cool lime green/yellow linoleum floor). Best part...big beautiful balcony to view the crimsons and tangerines of the trees all around. It's a great perch to sit with tea, meditate, or smoke naked as no one can really see you. Being a voyeur from above can be most satisfying. You'd be surprised how infrequently people ever look up.
Sunrise and sunsets should try to be viewed as often and whenever possible, as well as the full moon rising over the ocean.
I am most likey the last person to wake and ALWAYS the last person up. Whether it's a party, camping, or sitting on my balcony looking up.
If i have a choice i will be outside.
I dont have cable, internet, a smart phone, ipod.
I like fine food, craft beer, old world wine, and a good whisky and dont belive in organized religion.
I love to dance and walk in thunderstorms. Dressing kinda silly and wearing fairy wings to a fancy restaurant is also most entertaining especially if the guy you are with will sport a fake mustache drawn from burnig the end of a cork.
I joined this site because I wanna learn who I am and who we are, and why that is so.
cheers

What I Can Share with Hosts
Right now, not much, not fancy, but plenty to share....currently I have a small room on the beach in Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca. Im flexible and always willing to help someone out who needs a place to crash. I have a big bed and lots of floor space and a roof top if you have a tent...killer views of the entire beach and mountains and you are of course welcome to come downstairs for the bath, kitchen, or to chill.Hit me up, you never know how I can help you!!
