ABOUT ME

I really like to enjoy all the happiness life brings, which may come as a good book to read at home or as a completely unexpected birthday party on a farm, of someone I knew for only 20 minutes (yes, it happened). I just love going to new places and meeting different people, of course, and the months I lived in Japan and in Italy only reinforced this passion. Now I'm anxious to explore more of my own country, Brazil, and hopefully my new motorcycle and some nice friends are going to help with that. Can't wait to start!

Gosto de aproveitar a vida ao máximo em seus diferentes prazeres, seja um bom livro para ler em casa ou uma festa de aniversário de alguém que acabei de conhecer em uma viagem, como já aconteceu. Amo viajar, conhecer lugares e pessoas, e o período em que vivi no Japão e na Itália só aumentaram essa paixão por explorar o mundo. Agora quero conhecer mais do meu país, viajar pelo Brasil... E espero que minha nova moto e uns amigos aventureiros ajudem esse sonho a se concretizar!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been going to Couch Surfing events in Tokyo and in Rome. It's been very important to me because it is where, for sure, you can find interesting and friendly people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but that's about to change! :)

Interests

Music (specially singing, clarinet and drums); flying (we're in the computer age but I enjoy a lot those Piper J-3, Cessnas and so on... every pilot is trying to get into a Boeing or Airbus cockpit... as for me, I would love to become a DC-3 pilot!); Books in general, I like to read about everything possible, but lately I've been interested in complex systems in general, history of science and the evolution of altruism and cooperation. I also love to write and to tell my stories, which I try to do in my blog, and I would love to be a professional photographer but I'm already happy as an amateur in this field.

Música (especialmente cantar, tocar clarinete e bateria); voar (na era do computador, o que eu gosto são dos aviões clássicos, como um pequeno Piper J-3, um Cessna 140 e coisas assim. Enquanto os noos pilotos sonham em voar um grande Boeing ou Airbus, eu adoraria um dia poder voar o clássico dos clássicos, o Douglas DC-3). Gosto de livros em geral, leio de tudo um pouco, mas ultimamente tenho me interessado pela área chamada "sistemas complexos", história da ciência e assuntos ligados à evolução do altruísmo e da cooperação também me interessam bastante. Gosto de escrever e contar minhas histórias, o que tenho tentado fazer no blog ultimamente, e gostaria de ser um bom fotógrafo mas já sou muito feliz como amador.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel: to see the Jureia forest from above was amazing… As for personal experience, suddenly becoming a TV scientist for some weekends on a national broadcast is by now the most remarkable achievement of serendipity for me… But we’re always working on new stories :)

Recently I was working as a pilot of a small plane inducing rain over many areas in Brazil and also in West Africa. :)
