Hello hello hello, I'm a dedicated smartarse who loves long conversations that end up being about anything and everything. I study Politics and International Relations and am fascinated by films, from the production process all the way to the finished piece and the discussion and criticism that follows.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation. Especially moderation. So basically, be an extremist. A pleasant, polite extremist, though.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm looking for couches to surf. Anytime during the academic year however, I would love to host people in my student house in York, a beautiful medieval little town in Northern England.

兴趣

Films, travelling, hiking, climbing and long-form journalism. I'm Austrian, so I'm legally obliged to like skiing, which I do (whew).

I also love reading, an activity which I divide into: one guilty pleasure novel (Sci-Fi or Fantasy like George RR Martin and Iain M. Banks) followed by any more challenging read (any classic novel or history books).

Movies: Being John Malkovic, Fargo, Barton Fink, L.A. Confidential, anything with Bud Spencer (don't ask) or Jackie Chan.

Music: Queens of the Stone Age, Deltron 3030, The National, Nick Cave, Kendrick Lamar, Dire Straits and Notorious BIG.

Books: History books, and anything by Iain (M) Banks, George RR Martin, Robert Jordan and Dan Simmons. Right now, I'm reading and enjoying the hell out of Master and Margarita.
