About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn all things sustaining, permaculture, regeneration and horticulture.

ABOUT ME

Youthful, Happy, Creative, energetic, tasteful & always polite. Untragically woman, restless for travel and exploration inwards and outwards.

PHILOSOPHY

Henry James // Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Milton Glaser // "If you perceive the universe as being a universe of abundance, then it will be. If you think of the universe as one of scarcity, then it will be...I always thought that there was enough of everything to go around...that there are enough ideas in the universe and enough nourishment."

Great couch surfing experiences like the ones I've shared in the past strengthen a faith in the universe that I've come to depend on though out my Solo travels. The good has always outweighed the bad and by default trusting in the couch surfing community for a place to rest, share and recover has outweighed the comforts that any lavish hotel could offer me.

Interests

Permaculture, sustainable design, intentional communities.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of the most recent books I've truly enjoyed is The Alchemist.

Some of my favorite movies would have to be, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind / Seven Psychopaths / Amélie / Forrest Gump /
Fight Club & Various Studio Ghibli films.

Teach, Learn, Share

Some various quotes that inspire me through my solo travels around the world.

Andrei Tarkovsky // I think I'd like to say only that they should learn to be alone and try to spend as much time as possible by themselves. I think one of the faults of young people today is that they try to come together around events that are noisy, almost aggressive at times. This desire to be together in order to not feel alone is an unfortunate symptom, in my opinion. Every person needs to learn...how to spend time with oneself. That doesn't mean he should be lonely, but that he shouldn't grow bored with himself because people who grow bored in their own company seem to me in danger, from a self-esteem point of view.

A.A. Milne // Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

Carson McCullers // We are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange...we are homesick most for the places we have never known.

Anthony Bourdain // If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move."

Isamu Noguchi // We are a landscape of all we have seen.

Virginia Woolf // I have a deeply hidden and inarticulate desire for something beyond the daily life.

Jack Kerouac // Because in the end, you won't remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My hope is to meet genuine and honest people from all walks of life. To hear of their stories or even just enjoy the company of a new face. To serve as a friend or lend a helping hand. While I am young and travelling on steep budget, my hope for the future is to return every bit of generosity, hospitality and wisdom gifted to me along the way.

I truly hope to meet you someday, I believe you and I could truly be friends.

Fred Rogers // If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.

Indira Gandhi // Peace between countries must rest on the solid foundation of love between individuals.
