ABOUT ME
Adrien is a legal guy, Violaine is insurance agent and dog behaviorist. We enjoy every free moment to go away and discover other countries, other cultures, sympatic peoples. We have the same passion and we travel together.

PHILOSOPHY

The important thing is not to live, but to have something to live for.

10 CONDITIONS TO READ AND RESPECT TO BE HOSTED :

1) We host for minimum two nights. We prefer couchsurfers staying during the week-end (Friday to Monday) because we have more free time and we can make party/have a drink together. During the workweek we can of course have dinner and watch a movie together.

2) We accept only personalized requests and completed profile. Even if you have no references you can be hosted if your request and profile are good.

3) We are extravert, dynamic and-enthusiastic people. We don’t want people staying on their computer or sleeping all the day. Couchsurfing is about sharing time together, we are not an hostel. We think we are hosts who love partying and moving so we are looking people that can adapt to our live. We love to share our daily live with you and take you at our party so we want open mind and sociable people who want to meet our friends.

4) You have to be resourceful. Our house is in the countryside and from Brussel you need to take a bus, a train and then walk for 15 minutes. So it's not so easy to reach us and it's almost mandatory to have internet connection and Google Map. So please keep your 3G or 4G on so we can communicate more efficently.

5) More than everything, we want people respectful! You are welcome at our home, we take time for you, we drive you at some places. We want people who can keep the house clean and who can respect it. Don’t forget that you don’t pay anything but we do! So we don’t want profiteers but people who can respect our home as their own.

6) Be proactive. There is obviously no obligations but if you want to help us to cook, garden, cleaning,... you are welcome :-) (especially if you stay for long). And if you are a good cooker, we really like to discover new taste from all around the world !

7) About punctuality : If you are late, no problem, it can happen, but please warn us with a text message if you have no internet connection (specially if we pick you up at the train station or if we are waiting you for dinner).

8) Please bring your sleeping bag/towels/sheets. We receive a lot of couchsurfers and it's very expensive for us to clean that every week.

9) You have to love or minimum tolerate big dogs. We have 2 female doberman, they are very friendly and well educated but of course they will be in the living room during your stay (not in your room).

10) We hope that by reading this you can recognize you. If you want to stay with us, please add the passphrase “Les DOUDOUS” before your request. If you don’t, we will not read your request at all. This is the only way to be sure you understand what kind of people we are and what’s the localization of our house (not in the center of Brussels).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We participate by opening the door of our house, sharing our experience in Belgium, and offering kindness to any couchsurfers. Just like we receive when it's us who make couchsurfing.

We don't like people using couchsurfing as "free hostel". Couchsurfing is first a way to meet interesting people et not to find the best place to sleep.
