About Me
Hi there!
My friend Etienne and I are travelling through Chile between January 18th and February 18th. It is our first time in South America and even if we know that we are travelling during high season, surrounded by tons of tourists, we would like to stay as much as possible off the beaten tracks and meet local people. We both have some experience with Couchsurfing (only as surfers though) and it has always been an amazing experience and we lived things we could have never lived with this plateform. That is why we seek to live similar experiences in South America and make the best out of our time there.
We both have just finished our engineering studies and are travelling a bit before starting to work back in France. Both laid back young men, keen on sharing on various aspects of what we sometimes call culture as a whole: litterature, cinema, art (beginners), architecture, sciences. We are into sports as well and will never turn our backs on a physical challenge, whatever it should be!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As far as my (short) experience goes, it is the best way to meet the people that actually live in the country you're travelling around. Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to crash, it is mainly to discover someone else's way of living and share experiences.
When you stay in hotels or even hostels, you often meet like-minded people that are most of the time very fun to hang around with and do not broaden your perspectives because well... they are like you. Couchsurfing gives you the chance to get know different people that will often have very distinct objectives in life or ways of perceiving things and that is what makes the true richness of the experience.
Interests
Litterature, cinema, sports, pretty much anything actually, we are quite curious guys by nature
