About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give back what I've received

ABOUT ME

I'm 28 years old. I'm teaching in a middle school in Sophia Antipolis, while enjoying all of what the Côte d'Azur has to offer. During my studies I spent a year of study abroad in the US, at Purdue, IN, and while there, I got to travel a lot across the US, using couchsurfing from time to time. Now that I'm back home, I'm ready to host people, especially English speaker travelers visiting Europe (I miss speaking English)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying to make the most of my years as a young teacher without too much pressure and responsibility. I'm hoping to see a lot of different parts of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I might couchsurf again if I get to travel anytime soon, but until then, I'm hoping to host, giving back some of the hospitality I greatly enjoyed, especially during my two weeks bike trip in Northern Europe in the summer of 2011.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed twice in Boston two years ago and once in Philadelphia. I really liked meeting each one of my hosts.
Back in France, I hosted a traveler from Russia, it was also quite interesting. And I surfed a lot on my bike trip, even though only for one night each time, that was most of the time too short.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode my bike on the highway between South Beach and Miami (not many bike lane in the US). Spent two month traveling on my own in the US, paying only for 7 nights. Thanks couchsurfing, and various friends.
More recently, I biked, on my own, 1200 kms in 20 days, going from Eastern France, through Germany along the Rhine river, to Amsterdam, and coming back to Lille through Belgium. I got to meet some great people by CS, stopping by every evening in a major city.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some knowledge about European History in general. But according to my brother, that doesn't make very good conversation topic.
I'm still learning English. I would also be glad to give some information about French or French culture in general to anybody interested.
As you can see on my profile, I've also shared the little bit of knowledge about French cuisine that I know.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
