About Me

Hello world!

I'm Adrienne, a ski bum, seasonal waitress, and about to be massage therapy student come January.

This last summer, I've been living and loving in Denali Park, Alaska with my boyfriend/love-of-my-life, Dan, and a plethora of new friends.

The reason I "can't accept guests" now is because I'm currently in an employee housing situation that doesn't allow guests. Also when I leave here will be living off the road for a little bit, and thats when I hope to travel :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I mainly joined because in a couple weeks, my boyfriend and I will plan on traveling around Alaska, primarily the Kenai peninsula, primarily Girdwood, Seward, Homer, Whittier, perhaps anywhere we can find awesome people to couch surf with!

Also, importantly, it's totally on my bucket list for Alaska to sea kayak in Prince William Sound and/or the Kenai Fjords National Park, and hopefully see whales.

Interests

Hiking, skiing, exploring, trumping through the Alaska "shits," (yeah you know what I mean, you Alaska folk), drinking local beer, eating delicious food, smoking local herb, photography with my awesome camera, seeing good live music, meeting cool new people, adventuring... you get the gist.

Music, Movies, and Books

Phish is my favorite, but lately I've been loving Tedeschi Trucks Band. Of course I like jam bands - the dead, allman bros. My boyfriend is also a big country guy, so we also get down to country music as well as outlaw country and bluegrass. My tastes are eclectic!

I'm a slow reader, but this summer started Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins, and it's awesome. I also like Jack Kerouac quite a bit.

Another book I love and live by is The Life You Were Meant to Live by Dan Millman. If you know this one, I am a 31/4.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I parasailed with my mom last fall off Aspen Mountain! My moms a badass.

I also lived in Berlin Germany for awhile, and experienced a large scale, slightly anarchist protest over the government shutting down a squat house that had existed since the days of the GDR.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, good times, beer and bud, hopefully an adventure or two (a beautiful hike would be amazing), and hopefully a genuine new connection!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland
