About Me

ABOUT ME

I live with my dog and plenty of plants. I used to enjoy international travel very much but now am more settled after adopting my dog. Now we are exploring the camping and hiking opportunities around Vancouver. It's been so lovely hosting old friends and acquaintances from long ago and far away that I thought I'd open my home up to 'friends I just haven't met yet.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to open up my apartment and my life to people who could use some humble accommodations and hopefully a smile and some conversation.

Interests

Dog things. Camping, hiking, pottery, knitting. Lately I've been into fermenting things. Kombucha, kimchi, ginger ale.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess this is unusual since it has only happened once, but it had a strong impact on me at the time and continues to be nurturing memory. I was walking the dog around my neighborhood and really feeling quite down (probably pms). I was actually on the verge of tears, but we turned a corner and came across some people playing music on a porch. They sounded incredible. They were playing 'Who walks in when I walk out' and singing and in an instant my mood lifted. Sat with the dog and listened to the song. Let them know I thought they were awesome when they had finished. I love this neighborhood. You never know what you might happen across.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my favorite spots and activities around Vancouver. Learn to knit, brew kombucha, bake bread, or we could get creative and make something with papier mache!

I would like to learn some yoga or tasty recipes you'd be willing to share!
