About Me

After a few busy years of "career-building", we decided, with my partner, to press the pause button and to travel the world for a year starting from December 2017.

We have always been fond of travelling but this is the opportunity for us to "go deeper" in the experience: get to REALLY meet people, exchange experiences - and obviously try new foods :) we LOVE that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2011, after a long day of trekking in the Colca canyon (Peru), we got to the smallest village (can't remimber the name)
We arrived exhausted, sweaty, thirsty ... and no one. Literally no one was in this village where we had planed to spend the night before another full day of walk.

We finally managed to find an old lady who told us that for sure there was no guest house in the village, but we could sleep in an external room she had next to her home.

5.00pm ... surprise!! the whole village inhabitants (70 people) arrived on the main village place. We had chosen our day: it was the water party day! Once a year, the whole village clean the entire water system into the cultures and for the occasion they had bring from the valley liters and liters of beer (carried by men for a 7h walk, during weeks) in order to be sure that everybody could be drunk at the party.

Here we are: eating guinea pig in sauce, with beer (3 glasses for 72 people), dancing on traditional music (which quickly became noise as alcohol level raised....)

For sure one of my best travel memory :)
