CURRENT MISSION

We are a small non-profit animal rescue run by volunteers. We are few and I have turned my home into our shelter. I need friends to come stay and help.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Baltimore, Md. My father was from there and my mom was Puerto Rican. They divorced when I was 12 yrs old so I spent time back and forth and I'm bi-lingual in Spanish and English. I studied music at a local university in here in PR and became a professional musician. My degree is in education so I teach English and play music and that's how I make my frugal living. I have become president of our non-profit animal rescue organization called "Amigos de los Animales" which means, 'Friends of the Animales'. Once you spend some time here on our beautiful island, you will understand the horrible conditions for the animals here and you will better understand how I got into the business of saving the lives of animals. At Amigos de los Animales we rescue, rehab and rehome animals, primarily dogs.

I am quirky, sometimes funny and a little stressed at times but I am learning to keep an even keel. I want to live a long time so I can do more to help:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't travel much because I can not leave my animals and this is my very first experience with Couch Surfer.
