About Me
I love traveling, meeting new people and finding out about different cultures and perspectives in this huge world.
I've been living in Florianópolis since the beginning of 2016 when I moved to attend graduate school. I like to ride my bike, hang out with my friends at the bar, or just chill somewhere. I also enjoy staying in with my boyfriend to cook and watch Netflix TV shows (well, he cooks, and I wash the dishes LOL).
I'm a friendly person, I can be shy at first, but once I get comfortable with the other person, I become very talkative!
I'm an English teacher, and I have a crazy schedule, some days I work in the morning, and some other days I work until 9 pm. So, sorry if I don't reply to you right away.
Here it is my Instagram if you want to check it out: http://instagram.com/msph09
I won't share my FB page because I don't check it very often, I mostly use Twitter and Instagram (almost all the time).
** I'm not accepting any requests right now, I'm in the process of moving out to a new place, so things are pretty busy**
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I love traveling, and I know how crazy it is to travel in a low budget, I want to try to help travelers somehow. Right now I cannot host anyone, but I can give tips of cool places to go, or even we can hang out together and exchange some thoughts about life, hobbies, music, TV shows... many things!
I'm also here to try to meet people when I travel and maybe find a nice host that can give me cool tips of places to go, and make some new friends!
Interests
I'm interested in learning new things and knowing new places. Talk, meet people, discuss life etc etc.
If we talk about academic life, I'd say I'm interested in bilingualism and psycholinguistics, but I think that is not the expected answer for this topic, right?

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, listening to music. I used to be so addicted to reading, it's been a while since the last time I found a pretty good book, so if you have any cool tips, please share!
I listen to many different kinds of music. I guess it would be easier if you find me at Spotify or Goodreads. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, categorizing things is so hard for me, I think I can say that I had great moments and I saw amazing things on some incredible trips I've taken. But here are a few:
I've had the chance to go on a road trip with a friend who visited me when I was in the US, we went to amazing places in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Grand Canyon is just a stunning place!
While in the US I also had the opportunity to teach Portuguese as a foreign language in an American university sponsored by the Fulbright program. Teaching and talking about my language and culture was just an incredible experience of how we see the world.
I also went on a road trip with my cousin in Ireland. We crossed the country and visited many cool and amazing places.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be up to share my thoughts about the world and I'd love to hear from you too.
If you are a guest/host that's is learning Portuguese/English, I can also help you with that by giving nice cool tips!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Towels, blankets (Floripa can get pretty cold), a washing machine, Wifi.
If I'm not busy, I could show you some places in Florianópolis, or at least give you some tips on what to do here. I have a crazy work schedule, but I'd do my best to take you for a drink in a cool place, or a really nice beach, since in there there are plenty of beautiful places to go!
