ABOUT ME

Amanda- I started traveling the day after I graduated high school and haven't been able to stop. I feel obligated to take advantage of every opportunity life has to offer and live for the rush I feel when I know I am experiencing something unforgettable.

Michael-I'm fortunate enough to be in a position whereby I can travel and learn new experiences and cultures. I have 'the bug' and long may it continue...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Amanda- I started using Couch Surfing to back pack across Europe in the summer of 2009. I participated in a lot of events. I plan on using CS to travel the world for as long as I can. I look forward to having surfers as soon as I build a stable nest for myself. Michael- CS Rookie. I currently do not have a Couch Surfing account. However, Amanda has spoken highly of it since meeting her in September 2010. I feel it's an excellent social networking site to have cheap travels and to meet locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amanda- I haven't had a bad Couch Surfing experience. I spent time with so many amazing and generous people through this site. I met people with qualities I would love to see more of in myself. The experiences made using CS have motivated and inspired me in ways I had not expected.

Michael- None! However, I have met with several couch surfers who have stayed with friends, or who currently still have an active account living in Beijing.

Interests

Amanda- drawing, rock climbing/bouldering, knitting, snowboarding, hiking, cliff jumping, scuba diving, good company, freedom.

Michael- Football, swimming, surfing, scuba diving, snowboarding, bungee jumping, hiking, comedy clubs, going out for drinks, dancing (badly)

Michael- It's difficult to select 'favourites' as there have been too many movies which have amazed me, but comedy is my top genre. Musically, I appreciate all kinds of music, as long as it's not lil wayne.

Amanda- I enjoy lil wayne, thank you very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amanda- Climbing The Alps, The Mountains of Yangshou, China, and Sky diving in The StatesMichael- Guiness world record bungee jump in Macau, camping on the great wall, surfing in Australia.
