Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm Danielle, and I'm a freelance journalist focusing on travel, outdoor recreation, conservation and public lands. I'm home in Pennsylvania (U.S.) about half the time, but when I'm not, I'm traveling on the cheap. I'd love to take advantage of Couchsurfing to meet fun, travel-oriented people and find places to stay while traveling, and to welcome travelers to my home when I'm here and available to host.
I'm new to Couchsurfing and haven't built any kind of a presence here yet, so please feel free to check out my website and social media accounts to learn more about me:

Please feel free to contact me if you'd like more information! If you are planning to visit rural western Pennsylvania in the United States (I'm near Punxsutawney, home of the weather-predicting groundhog), please reach out. If I'm home, I'd love to host you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In college, I spent a semester literally traveling around the globe! I traveled across 14 ports in 11 countries on five continents, and I've never looked at the world the same. The experience made me realize how little of my own country I had seen, so a year after I came back, I spent a summer roadtripping across the U.S. with my dog. That further sparked my love for exploration, and eight years later, I'm finally making travel a full-time career :).
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a pretty impressive card trick that I'd be happy to teach you, and I always travel with a few decks of cards in case I find anyone who wants to play Nerts (which I'd be more than happy to teach you).
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you're interested in learning how to clog (Appalachian percussive dance, sort of similar to tap or Irish step), I'd be happy to teach you some steps! If you need an editor for a college/work assignment or a website or something, I'd be happy to help you with that as well. I'm still new here, so I'm not really sure what people put here???
