ABOUT ME

I really love to travel and be free. I like to explore new places and meet people and fill my life with adventure. I spent a year or two traveling after college, worked on building trails and conservation projects living outdoors in Colorado, Arizona, and Mississippi (yeah, Mississippi, weird). In 2009, I hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Spent 2 years working in a cubicle in Tucson, which was just enough to push me back out the door, and currently I am living in Xela (Quetzaltenango), Guatemala. I am working in a variety of different projects here, and enjoying the chance to see new places, meet new people and learn a lot of new things.

Me encanta viajar y ser libre. Me gusta explorar lugares nuevos, conocer a nuevas personas y llenar la vida con adventura/exploración. Después de graduarme de la universidad, pasé casi dos años viajando por los Estados Unidos, trabajando en la conservación en la sierra, y viviendo afuera en las montañas. En 2009, Caminé por 6 meses en el Appalachian Trail. Trabajé dos años en una oficina en Tucson, AZ, y después de eso, querría volver a viajar. Por eso, ahora estoy viviendo en Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Trabajo en varios proyectos aqui, y estoy disfrutando mucho de la oportunidad de conocer a nuevos lugares, nueva gente, y aprender mucho.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been incredibly grateful for, and humbled by, the kindness and generosity of others. I have surfed many a couch. In my time in Tucson, I have been lucky enough to host a great number of couchsurfers from all over the world, and they have allbeen wonderful and fascinating people - some even turning into permanent friends! In addition to paying back/forward the kindness afforded me, being able to host travellers helped add a little color to my sometimes monotonous lifestyle of working 8-5 in an office! I have been very grateful for all of my couchsurfing experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted many times, in many different locations, and have couchsurfed all over the US, as well as a bit in Guatemala. I've had nothing but fabulous experiences with couchsurfers, and am always eager to meet new folks through this community!

Interests

I love being outdoors, traveling, hiking, camping, etc. I enjoy learning about other people's travels and experiences, and I like to learn and try new things
