About Me
**Fully vaccinated against COVID-19**
I'm pretty laid back and easygoing. I love the outdoors- biking, climbing and hiking especially- cooking, exploring, reading, languages, meeting new people and trading stories. I’m really just looking for adventure and fun experiences on here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to get authentic experiences when travelling and I feel like staying with locals is the best way to do that. To me travel is as much about learning and broadening your worldview as it is about pleasure, so what better way is there to get that than by sharing your home with new people? I also like the concept of non-monetary exchange- sharing experiences, knowledge and culture is more valuable to me than money.
Interests
I'm open to pretty much anything, but I'll just list a bunch of things I like so it's easy to find the things we have in common.
Outdoor activities:
Biking, building/repairing bikes, climbing, hiking/trekking, camping/backpacking, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming (although I'm not very good), cross country skiing, ice skating, wake boarding, sailing, soccer, baseball, cricket, badminton, tennis, disc golf, croquet. Name something and I'll do it.
I like other stuff too- journalism, writing, reading, learning new languages, cooking, drinking, gardening, herbs, tea, health and wellness, hitchhiking ...
Current events, geopolitics and history are also really important to me, but I pretty much keep my views to myself unless you're interested. I have a degree in politics and am passionate about many causes, but I mostly just want everyone to be friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm open to most things music wise.
The Coen brothers are probably my favorite directors, but I like anything quirky or surreal. I also watch a lot of documentaries.
As far as books go I like deep thought provoking novels and non-fiction.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cooking! I love learning new things to cook and sharing what I know. I know a good amount about bikes and bike maintenance, am pretty handy and I’m learning how to grow a productive garden.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can contribute interesting conversation, silly humor and I'm good at fixing things. I'm also more than willing to help with any housework or projects that you've got going on.
