ABOUT ME
I'm a grad student at Duke University who loves to travel and spends time attempting to work exciting places into my research plan. Work and fun don't have to be separate. I have a deep-seated belief that humans are just another link in the web of life called the biosphere and should be incorporated more deeply into ecosystem management plans. But that's my work life. I also play the fiddle and spend most of my free time finding live music to listen to.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm here as part of this crazy world just hoping to leave the smallest bit of legacy in the conservation world, incorporating humans into the plan. Essentially, I think we can live in harmony with the environment, not as superiors or protectors, but as one with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I saw a bit of Alberta only made possible by the generosity of couchsurfing folks! I have since caught the bug and hope that someday when I'm not tied down by school I'll be able to feed the experience a bit... until then, I'd love to meet new folks and live vicariously through other's travels.
