ABOUT ME

I have had the travel bug since I was a young lad. I have read veraciously about the world and its cultures over the years while planning my future travels. But due to one thing or another I never quite managed to get away, until a couple of years ago. I now live in Perth, Australia (the most remote city in the world)
I work in the dessert, which I enjoy very much.(working 22 weeks a year is great also)
The other bonus is that this part of the world is a lot closer to a fair portion of the globe compared to NZ.So its a excellent place to base myself for my future,long over due adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in having an open mind to everything. Enjoying life to the fullest, with no hidden agendas. And helping those around me who need a hand!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During My time as a tour guide in The Bay of Islands( NZ )
I hosted many people that i met on my bus,
Made some wonderful friends in the process.
I was then told about Couchsurfing just before my first trip overseas. What great timing!
It was incredible staying with some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Being able to experience their part of the world through their eyes . This is in my mind the only way to see the world .

Interessen

Im interested in everything !! travel is at the top of the list of course .
I have just bought a guitar so being traveling minstrel is on the cards.
I like to keep fit, mainly jogging, try to eat right ( emphasis on "try")
I guess I love new experiences, people and places. "Stuff" that broadens my understanding of everything and makes me a better person !

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Im into all music! I have very eclectic tastes.from Abba to Zappa from Acid Jazz to Tribal.
I read mainly non fiction, Lots of travel books and im a huge fan of the cook book genre as well'
Any chance for a bit of escapism will see me dotted down in front of the big screen. I really enjoy the art house/inde movies alot.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I experienced a homeless person offer me half his money. ( I had returned to him after finding it ) It truly amased me ! those with so little, still willing to part with it. It was one of life's great lessons. Got to love Karma !!
