About Me

Me and Eugene are a couple of middle-aged former (unaccomplished?) hippies, who don't have a clear idea what to do with their life in their 30s. :)

I'm a simple person, my education is quite poor, my English is quite lame, I can be somewhat shy, but I can not live without communication. The last extravert on Earth, you know. And I am able to walk over the city for hours without getting tired or bored, exploring new places and chatting about anything, endeavoring to improve my english skills :)

During the warm season we prefer deep forests to urban landscape. Motorcycle or bicycles, tent, fire, yelling songs under the moonlight and all that camping thing, the more wild and remote place the better. If you travel with tent and sleeping bag, we will be happy to make the company. We have just moved to Varna from Kiev, and still exploring the wild nature around, so the company would be nice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the past I've been travelling much more than now, hitch-hiking over Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, making friends everywhere and staying where I liked to. In Saint Petersburg, Russia, I stayed for 8 years, found there my closest friends and one of them became also my husband. But at the beginning of year 2014 we moved from Russia to Kyiv (I think everybody understands why). After a splendid year in Ukraine we decided to move to Bulgaria, where some of our old camrades live.
By chance, we've rented a huge apartment here, and now, first time in our life, are able to host people normally, without offering them dark corners to sleep on the floor :)

In St.Petersburg, we had hosted lots of different people, our flat was always full of guests and hitch-hikers, but we didn't need Couchsurfing for that - everyone knew that place and told their friends. Maybe Couchsurfing will help us to make our new place somehow similar to our previous home.

Interests

Observing and photographing wild nature, riding bycicle (preferably in the country or in the woods), reading, meeting new people, travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I kept a hippie flat called The Attic in Saint Petersburg - that was in 2006 - 2014. I will not exaggerate saying that major part of post-ussr hitch-hikers, backpackers and free travellers knew and loved that place. Some people told me it was "a legend". Always crowdy, joyful and welcome for all nice people. Now it's all swept away by war and insanity. That's the memory which still hurts sometimes - I knew that it had to end someday, but could not ever imagine such kind of an ending.
