I like being outside, and especially by the ocean. I can be content anywhere at any time if I have a good book to read. I try to see the positive side of things, there is nothing wrong with being a Pollyanna!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very new at this! Used the site for a backpacking trip and am willing to host this summer. I would love to show off my beautiful island!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met up with some couchsurfers in my adopted town of Amiens for a very fun night and slept on my first CS couch in Czech Republic in May. Hoping for more to come!

Música, películas y libros

Almost any book, seriously. Sad stories make me sad, happy stories make me happy. I am not so much into horror, true-crime (scary), really old classics (unfortunate, I know), or really heavy non-fiction science books. I don't really like mystery, chick lit, or pet stories but have been known to pick one up for a quick read. Anything else I will love.

Right now I am working on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.
Favorites include the Night Angel Trilogy - Brent Weeks, Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger, Beautiful Boy - David Sheff, Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell, Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis. Also love Michael Curtis Ford, Garth Nix, Phillip Pullman, Jack Whyte, Tolkien, and everything Malcolm Gladwell.

I don't understand reality TV. If I want to turn off my brain I like shows that make me laugh. Jersey Shore is a good look at everything that is wrong with the Western World. I like funny 30 min sitcoms such as Will & Grace and Big Bang Theory.

My favorite thing about traveling is seeing the incredibly different ways people live in other parts of the world. Another thing that amazes me is how similar we all are.
I want to learn all I can about new people and places.

My Island is a great place to visit, my parents fish which is always a fun experience for visitors to take part in. PEI has great culture and a good local music scene.
