About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take over the world--ack ack!

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Kelsey and I am a travelohic. I'm a Deaf woman who likes to laugh my head off, loves to try new things and meet random people, enjoys a glass of wine (or two or three perhaps), and gets along with pretty much everybody. I better stop here before I turn this into a novel!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is beautiful. Simple as that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How did I participated? I used the internet. Pretty awesome, huh?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in different countries--just look at my references and you'll get a better idea. My experiences were very positive and I wanted to return the favor by hosting Couchsurfers from all over the world! I just moved into a house with spacious yard few minutes drive from the Willamette Town Center and am finally able to host Surfers--only if they are willing to work with me and my hectic work schedule.

Interests

Cooking, traveling, playing video games, reading books, shopping at thrift stores, taking photographs, trying new things, laughing my head off.

Music, Movies, and Books

White Oleander by Janet Fitch, The Girls from Ames by Jeffrey Zaslow, The Awakening by Kate Chopin, novels by Jodi Picoult, novels by Stephen King, and the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. My list of books actually is much longer than this one but if you're into books, we can definitely turn this into a Book Club in no time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Canyoneering in the rain forest in Costa Rica, trekking and climbing in one of USA's largest underground caves, surviving a tsunami in Puerto Rico, cuddling a large adult tiger in Thailand, and roadtripping across America couple of times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I´m Deaf and American Sign Language is my primary language. I am more than willing to teach people this beautiful language and expose them to the Deaf culture. I´m a patient person and if there´s something a person wants to learn or know more about, they can go to me because I don´t bite...hard!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, France, India, Jamaica, Laos, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
