ABOUT ME

My name is Abigail, and I am living in New Orleans again after a long hiatus in North Carolina.

When at home, I busy myself with local activist groups and try to get involved in campaigns to promote social justice in the community. I like to cook, read, and do yoga when I can find the time.

PHILOSOPHY

Right now, I would say that my philosophy on life is that the best way to live fully is simply to notice. There are so many things to take in, even just on the walk to and from school. Time is going to pass whether I am miserable or having the best experiences of my life, so I want to acknowledge the beauty/simplicity/happiness/extravagance/terror/sadness/incredible-ness of as many moments as possible.

Maintenant, je pense que ma philosophie sur la vie est que la meilleure façon de vivre entièrement est simplement d'admettre. Il y a beaucoup de choses a regarder, même juste sur la promenade à l'école. Le temps va passer même si suis misérable ou si je suis entrain d'avoir les meilleurs expériences de ma vie, donc je veux admettre la beauté/la simplicité/le bonheur/l’extravagance/le terreur/la tristesse/"l'incroyabilité" d'autant moments qui est possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined CS recently, after hearing about it from a few friends who have done it before. They had really great experiences, and said that it is the best way to travel. I'm really excited to get started! Although I will be unable to host travelers right now, I hope to be able to do this in the future.

I've always considered myself to be an artist, but I've changed my medium over the years. Right now, I create art by cooking. I miss singing and acting!
