Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While my main agenda is always to see and experience as much as is within my means wherever I go, I want to experience genuine local experiences through homestays.

Although not via the couchsurfing platform, I have hosted and been hosted by fellow travellers I have had the pleasure of befriending on my travels. I have also couchsurfed while I was in Hawaii and met two of the most wonderful hosts, hence I know the value of being guided by a local. It makes the experience of visiting a country so much more authentic and enjoyable.

Also, I am open-minded and would love to meet different people from all walks of life ☺️

Interests

Ex-gymnast/theatre kid.
I love to sing and dance.
I also enjoy doing any available nature-related activity that I cannot easily do in Singapore e.g. hiking, snorkelling, horseback riding, stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, cliff jumping, fruit picking, wakeboarding, surfing (though I am not great at this) etc.
I recently fell in love with scuba diving and would like to do more dives wherever I can!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Talk to me about this 😌 Some things include a scientific research trip in Christmas Island, camping as a sea turtle conservation volunteer on a tiny island off terengganu, paddle boarding out in choppy waters to China man’s hat before dawn to catch the sunrise, hiking my way across the tongariro alpine crossing, jumping off and swinging across a canyon, being kissed on the lips by an endangered species of giraffe in Kenya, riding a motorbike for days around the ha giang loop in northern vietnam, horse trekking/camping in the Mongolian wilderness for 10 days etc.
There's still so much to do!
