About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering who I am today, not yesterday, not tomorrow.

ABOUT ME

I am a quirky, talkative, ridiculously honest and friendly person. I can also be poised, spiritual and insightful. I am deeply passionate about people, diversity and making each day in life the adventure I feel it was meant to be.

PHILOSOPHY

Most people wander around in their own dream world because they are not taking care of their needs. We spend most of our lives in 'down time,' trying to recuperate from a lousy job or a tiresome situation. But if we truly take care of ourselves, our needs emotional, spiritual and physical, then we are able to live (at least more often) in 'up time,' where we are available to discovering new things and truly relating with one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In April 2013 I spent a month travelling Japan and Korea. While walking the 88 Temple Pilgrimage on Shikoku Island I stayed with some absolutely lovely couchsurfing hosts in rural Japan. It was SO wonderful and equally meaningful and memorable for me as the Pilgrimage itself.

In March 2011 I spent a month driving around the Pacific Northwest and couchsurfed then - though that was with people I at least vaguely knew or was related to!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Universal Studios, Orlando. Where other places have the spirit of capitalism or consumerism that is about making money, Universal Studios seemed to be designed to make you really happy, and if you really enjoyed yourself and had a lot of fun, what's a few extra dollars to you? A great experience!

Making friends in New York City that I still talk to three years later. Who knew that in a city full of so much coming and going I could make solid friendships in a single week?

Teach, Learn, Share

Although my profile can sound dreamy, I am a fan of people who are very realistic and practical as well. Dream all you want, but remember to pay your bills!

I like people who are unabashedly unique and honest about who they are and what they want.
