Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To sow the seeds of creation and fulfillment in the most remote corners of my mind, through travel.
ABOUT ME
I'm a little on the happy side. As I'm still pursuing a college degree, I am blessed with the time and freedom to speculate on the most abstract mysteries of my world. Music is not only my profession, but the main tool I use to navigate the boundless confusion that the wonders of the world bring to me. A little dramatic, maybe, but when all you do is play music, you have to come up with ways to occupy your headspace.
PHILOSOPHY
Stagnation is the enemy of progress (duh!). Anything I can do to avoid stagnation, and ensure growth and evolution, both in myself and in my environment (maybe even society?), I am willing to commit immeasurable effort and resources toward.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined couchsurfing because I'm under-funded, but, against all odds, have recently been gifted with many travel opportunities! I've found that traveling unravels many of the knots in my mind, body, and emotional self, and I would be remiss not to take the fullest advantage of that. What that means is that I need free lodging, sometimes. :) In return, I'm happy to host others, or offer any services I can to repay my hosts' kindness. In other words, I'm so excited to see what all of this couchsurfing business is about!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a jazz saxophonist, so Wayne Shorter, Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, and the timeless Charlie Parker guide me along my musical path. I also enjoy dissecting classical, pop, rap, rock, funk, and electronic music for usable parts. It's all good!
I love watching new movies, and, just like the rest of the world, am geeking out about this rash of superhero movies. Of course, I'll never forget my roots in Tarantino, Kevin Smith, and David Bowie's performance in Labyrinth, either.
I'm extremely smitten with fantasy and sci-fi books, and always have been. Tolkien's epic world-crafting, Rowlings imaginative coming-of-age story, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams . . . It's all good!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time, after taking "plant food" (a synthetic substitute for ecstasy), my friend started retching, afraid that they were going to throw up. After several minutes of dry heaving, they sort of wobbled to the side and asked us "Where's my arm?". Then they had a seizure. The amazing thing is that they fell straight backwards onto a bed, one of my friends knew how to handle the situation, and had us turn the seizing friend onto their side, and now they're perfectly fine. Go figure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about music, and an introduction to astrology. I am very sensitive to shifts in my spiritual beliefs, so discussions of that sort always lead to something profound with me! I love learning languages, and anything you can teach me about music or poetry or lyrics is more than welcome. I promise I'm an attentive student!
