ABOUT ME

I'm an introvert, but incorrigibly in awe of life and easily excitable. =)

My life is oriented toward personal growth, well-being/healing, and connection of all sorts. (Emotional, mental, physical, spiritual.) I break some personality trait tests by intentionally being, for instance, both deeply loving and thoroughly intellectual -- which any good friend could confirm.

Spiritual through experience, I see single spirituality behind Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Sufism and learn from sages of all of them. I love to share wisdom and paradigms I've learned, and can communicate at different "levels" depending on one's personal spiritual and energetic experiences, or lack thereof.

I would be motivated to connect you with some of my wonderful friends or connections with whom you might share interests or otherwise find mutually awesome.

If you're interested in very uncommon life perspectives, talk to me. I've moved on average every couple years of my life. I'm a bisexual son to a lesbian divorced mother and father, both of which are remarried/recommitted. Spiritual and spirit-related energetic experiences both run in the family, with the more dramatic instances challenging my otherwise scientific mind. I'm double-degreeing but I still spend more time and energy on self-education and spirituality, not to mention multiple intimate friendships and confidants, and less close but delightful other friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Open-book life, open life.

Before even moving in, my apartment was deliberately planned and constructed for guest-hosting. Multiple people go in and announce things like: "How Zen!" or how "Warm..." it is in tone and mood. It's a very healing environment for me, and I love to share it with friends.

Then, I heard about Couch Surfing and knew it was for me. Many times it only takes a day to spark a wonderful new friendship.

Have a couple wonderful experiences staying in other US states with older women (and their families) who I'd known only online for a year or more through diary-sharing but not CS.

Local friends have slept over before (due to desire/convenience and not drinking!), and I've always loved hosting guests.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A decade ago, my Dad meditated daily for some years on the image of a nerve cell to regrow/reconnect part of his spinal cord after his back broke and that severed (slipped disc). Doctors insisted he'd be wheelchair bound, but with hard physical therapy and nerve-growth-meditation he walks unaided today. Doctors' instruments said his nerves were impossibly regrowing. Spinal nerves, especially with his kind of trauma, aren't supposed to do that.

Relationships, of which friendships are a type, hold amazing stories for me for anyone interested in emotional and spiritual depth.

There is also my extensive travel throughout all of my life.

The fact that I'm severely-to-moderately deaf when I don't wear my hearing aids, and lived the first three years of my life near-deaf, made certain perceptual wirings in the brain cross in some very curious ways.
