About Me
ABOUT ME
Good sense of humour, helpful, open to new things, happy go lucky.
I'm originally from Finland but in the last couple of years have made Sheffield my home. Before reaching this place in my life, have spent many happy years in various places in Finland, enjoyed the eastern horizons in Japan and even stopped at the sunny island of Malta for a bit...all in all not a very stationary life but it has somehow thrown me on the hills of Yorkshire!
Well, currently I'm in Sendai, Japan for a year, so Yorkshire will have to wait for a little bit for my return.
PHILOSOPHY
See the positives in stead of the negatives. In my job I see the full spectrum of life and conditions so a positive attitude is a must, and luckily the job helps me acquire that while from time to time it makes me doubt the existence of humanity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people in my house in Sheffield even though I can't always guarantee I'll be around or available to invite people in. For me the greatest thing about couchsurfing is the connections you make with strangers who turn up in your house, so the best hosting scenario for me is when I know I have time to spare for people... I do always try to say yes however if I am in town :-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosting and surfing, both been brilliant!
Interests
Music, arts, films, books, the usual. Arts and crafts time and money permitting.
Having studied East Asian Studies and Community Development, I am always keen to meet people who share these passions, but creating connections with people no matter what the topic is a source of joy in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy books and films that have a capturing and surprising plot. I really need to start going to the cinema more, while I do enjoy curling up on the sofa with a good book or watch a film with friends.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not the most amazing, but the most bizarre was going to a unisex onsen in Japan that turned out to be just an open access to the men's side for women. nuff said it was awkward...
