About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to experience as much of life as possible. My least favorite word in any language is "no". I hate hearing it, and especially hate saying it. I love being open to new ideas, cultures, and ways of life.
ABOUT ME
I'm an American Ex-Pat, living in Europe for the past 3 years. I started out teaching English in the mountains of Northwestern Spain, then made my way to Madrid, where I was a tour guide for a few hostels in the center of the city. I loved acting as a cultural liaison for the backpackers coming with me on my tours. That same job took me to Sevilla, where I spent 6 months soaking up the Andalusian culture, before making my way to Paris for the past year. I wanted to speak French, and have always wanted to live in Paris, so the choice was easy to make. I loved walking through the various arrondissements, seeing the various sides of such an immense, yet engaging city. I love to see new things in new places, and try my best to say "yes" to as many new experiences as I can find.
PHILOSOPHY
I remember learning that a child absorbs more knowledge in the first 3 years of life than an average person does for the remaining years of theirs. I want to prove that trend false. The constant quest for knowledge and understanding, through first-hand experience, of the life of this planet, is what drives me. I want to keep learning and growing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By diving in, head first, into the day to day life of the place where I am. It helps to know a bit of the language, so I try to learn a few basic phrases. I love going to museums, galleries, cultural centers, and anything that helps someone catch a glimpse of the art that has come from, or is being produced, in those places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few people, and loved the energy people bring with them on their travels. I want to do it more, but am currently out and about on my own travels.
Interests
I love culture. It's hard to limit it to just a few categories, but visiting museums, reading literature, traveling, cooking/eating, learning new languages, and meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was awestruck when I opened my eyes for the first time the day I was born. Anywhere and everywhere can create awe.
