Overview
About Me
I'm super passionate about history and have been backpacking in Asia and Europe to learn about history and do a little partying. Made a blog about then and now photos of cities I visited. Check em out, they're a pretty neat way to explore a city's past:

I came back home to Vancouver and a friend and I partnered up to take this concept and turn it into a historical walking tour app. We just launched it for Vancouver a month ago and the response has been phenomenal so far. It appears to be the first of its kind and it seems like we have a real shot into blowing this up into a giant popular app very quickly.
You can check it out here: www.onthisspot.ca
So right now it's a race against time for us to expand coverage to all the major cities in North America before someone steals the idea (apparently there's a company in San Francisco already copying it).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm just in Seattle right now doing photography for the app. I have to go to all these places in the next few days:

I'm trying to keep a lid on expenses and also want to meet some cool Seattle people while I'm here. I'd love to find someone who could show me some cool Seattle stuff, grab a beer one evening and offer a couch to sleep on. I might try and get you excited about the project and seeing if you'd be interested in working on it in the future to expand our Seattle coverage further once we get some funding!
Interests
My interests are pretty wide ranging and I can become interested in practically anything.
Mostly I specialize in history, especially military history. In addition to that I enjoy talking about politics, current events, science and technology, astronomy, languages (I'd really like to pick up a bit on this trip), cooking, culture, target shooting, whatever.
I also am pretty into swimming, scuba diving, hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Yknow, the usual Western Canadian things. I go out at night and party and make a lot of friends that way, but for this trip I'm trying to focus on my work.
