About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
ABOUT ME
I love to experience new things and extend my horizons therefore, travel whenever I can. Born in Tanzania, Africa and raised in Germany I grew up in Bremen a city in the northern part of Germany.
Throughout my childhood I was fortunate to travel quite a bit with my parents and growing up my "Wanderlust" and urge to experience the beauty different cultures only grew stronger.
Moving abroad for a cultural exchange in '04 I fell in love with the city of Chicago after graduating College in '10 I made the windy city my new home.
Today I am a business development professional living and working in bilateral trade for a trade arm of the German government in Chicago. I am passionate about my work and innovative concepts that demand new and creative market entry strategy solutions while bridging diverse business cultures.
In my spare time I enjoy getting to know different cultures and people. I feed off international environments and people from all over the world that inspire me to learn something new everyday. I enjoy to build new and existing relationships everyday :-) NEVER STOP EXPLORING!
Another passion of mine is running. Running is what I do and learned to love:-) I started out with 3mi 3years ago and in 2012 I ran my first Marathon. I love how running connects people, running is a lifestyle central to the happiness of millions and that inspires me. LOVE TO INSPIRE AND BE INSPIRED!
PHILOSOPHY
"Real life is not always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgment of what is working in our lives can help us not only survive but surmount our difficulties"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My mom introduced me to CS in 2008. Since then we hosted several wonderful CSers in our home in Bremen, Germany. I had my first surfing experience in 2009 when I traveled to L.A. with a friend from college. It was a great experience and once more underlines the great "different" perspective CS allows you to get when traveling. Our host showed us around and exposed us to local treasures we would have never seen otherwise :-)

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequat. Our deepest fear is that we are powerfull beyond measure. It is our light , not our darkness that most frightens us.We ask ourselves, Who am i to be brilliant, gogeous, talentet, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? [....] You playing small , does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinkin so that people won..t feel insecure around you. We are all ment to shine, as children do.[...] Its not just in some of us, its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presents automaticly liberates others."
