PHILOSOPHY

teachers have the biggest responsibility in the world, and it is our job to ensure that we kick ass at what we do

books: anything by khalil gibran, pablo neruda, isabel allende, mahmoud darwish, jonathan kozol, or alex haley.

music: new wave, post-punk, underground hip-hop, all kinds of latin, classic rock, electrotango, rock en espanol, protest songs, soul, old hindi and arabic music that's not cool anymore, trashy house music, and so much more

movies: so many! i love foreign films, especially spanish/latin films and german ones
