ABOUT ME

I need variety in my life, and hate the idea of getting sucked into the same boring routine. Which is why couchsurfing is so important and perfect for me. I love actually getting to know a city and its culture and owe so many of my best travel memories to CS.

I love sports and finding new bands. I love dreaming up the next trip, and turning it into reality. I'm a very laid-back person, but also enjoy getting passionate about the issues that are most important to me. I may have grown up in a small town, but I'm liberal through and through, and like to believe my experiences have stripped away any naivete. I love being the middle child of a big family. And I do my best to surround myself with funny, big-hearted friends, wherever I live. For me, life is all about the people I'm with, and the experiences we create.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf when traveling, meet for lunch or drink with those coming through my town, and when it allows, I throw out some blankets and a pillow on my couch for weary travelers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made my way around the world in 2008-09 via couches and had an amazing time because of it, then I did what I could to give back to surfers when I was in Seattle and met up with new cool people when I moved to Berlin.

sports and staying active (volleyball, basketball, softball, snowboarding, hiking, rockclimbing), love cheering on my favorite football teams, beers with friends, spontaneous road trips, live music, camping, art, design, photography, geography, history, politics, reading the "classics", sarcasm and wit, and the obvious...TRAVELING. Slept in a swag under the open night air of an enormous starry sky in the Australian outback, on my way to Uluru with a friend I met 2 days before. Amazing.
