About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Slow down and appreciate life! Travel! Help others! Create beauty through artistic expressions! Have a positive contribution to the planet!

ABOUT ME

Vagabond at heart and always willing and ready for spontaneous adventures!

We are currently exploring opportunities to work alongside rural communities in Zimbabwe with the plan to empowering them to be their own change agents in improving living standards.

I was born in Zimbabwe. I lived there until 1990 when I went to live in England for 3 years. I met my wife Roshne (born in Trinidad & Tobago) in London and got married in London 1992. We moved to Cape Town to attend college from 1996 - 1999. We then emigrated to Trinidad where our son Shak was born. We were in Trinidad for 3 years before moving to the USA in 2002. We lived in New Jersey for 2 years and then moved to York, Pennsylvania where we resided until 2021. In April of 2021 we relocated to a small rural town in southern Virginia. I currently work part time as a designer and fabricator of glass and mosaic art. You can check out some of my work at www.geralddavidsonstudio.com

PHILOSOPHY

To see as much of the world as possible. Create beauty. To live responsibly, to enjoy life, to make the most of who I am and what I have, to fully engage the human experience and to do my part in helping our fellow human beings in difficult situations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled on my own by train to Botswana at age 14 and slept outside Gabarone train station for a week...thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from a different culture and of course the freedom!!! Had to lie to mom though in order to be able to go on this adventure on my own. My very first true solo travel and cross-cultural experience...and the beginning of my love for adventurous travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to connect and collaborate with people who are involved in creative social projects with women, children and the poor.

What I Can Share with Hosts
