Sobre Mim

CURRENT MISSION

To transition into My DESTINY as a WORLD-CLASS PERFORMER, making New York City my homebase as I create my "Borderless Life".

ABOUT ME

I am a first generation Ghanaian, born and raised in the United States, who has traveled and lived abroad, and is ready for MORE!

I am a passionate person who strives to thrive and make a positive impact on others while leaving the world a better place than I found it. I was raised to start by being the kind of house guest who leaves someone's home cleaner than I found it :)

PHILOSOPHY

Live each day as if it is your FIRST!

I live to CREATE, perform, experience, and explore.

No coincidences.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ideally, I am looking to connect with well-meaning, kindhearted, gracious, peaceful, hospitable people from all walks of life. Beyond a place to lay my head, I am eager to learn and experience new cultures directly from those who live to tell their stories!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well. I met two of my closest friends through my voyage to South Afrika. My friend in San Francisco, California put me in touch with a good friend of hers in Johannesburg, aka Jo'berg. This friend, and her husband, met my friend & I at the airport. We had dinner, spent some time with this lovely couple, then continued to travel. Towards the end of our two weeks, my traveling partner & I had been scammed out of a place to stay (long story), so who took us in? The gracious Jo'berg couple! A year later, they moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, and we've been great friends ever since :)

Interesses

ALL kinds of music & performance, Musical Theatre, dance, writing, poetry, tennis, basketball, swimming (though I could use lessons), trying new cuisine, learning languages, and WORLD TRAVEL of course!

Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe

While residing in Ghana, I learned to wash ALL clothes (including jeans and towels) by hand, and to bathe with half a bucket of water when necessary.

In South Afrika, I had countless cultural "a-ha" moments... including learning about the Politics of being "Colored"...

In Canada, I learned the art of putting gravy on french fries (mmm... Poutine...)

I'd love to learn to speak my Mother tongue Twi, and French fluently.

O Que Posso Compartilhar com Anfitriões

With the generous, kind, amazing hosts I am fortunate to meet, I can share my experiences, socio-cultural perspectives and fun(ny) stories of living in different countries and continents ~ I'm quite the vivid storyteller once you get me going! I can also share a wealth of practical advice and resources regarding ways to go about living abroad for extended periods of time or even becoming a part-time or full-throttle expat. ☺️
