About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get my company on autopilot so I can travel some more!

ABOUT ME

I just got back from Boston->NYC->Vail, CO->LA->New Zealand->Australia->Alaska->NYC->Philly->Boston trip. Now I have to figure out what I'm doing for the rest of my life. I know it's not some 9-5 thing, because I did that for 6 years and every last one of them sucked.

I grew up in the suburbs of boston, but I live in the city now.

PHILOSOPHY

i am not sure why i live my life. i don't even know what i wanna do when i grow up. however, this whole "work just hard enough so i don't get fired" and "pay me just enough so that i don't quit" schema if for the birds. i wanna run my own stuff someday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted. I've been hosted. Every time was extremely positive. Also, there was an issue with my email back in the day, that's why my response rate is so low. i try to shoot for 100% replies. no one likes to be left hanging...

I won't be able to host for the next few months, but

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I visited this dude Dave up in burlington. it was sick. Judith and a group of volunteers stayed with me while they were fund raising to go to brazil. Audrey visited from montreal and we had a blast. Couple cool and really interesting guys from switzerland hung out. and recently, four delightful german girls stayed with me for a few days. just a bunch of awesome people.

Interests

Snowboarding, Mountain biking, Building things, Fixing things, Rocking out [bass, guitar, learning drums, piano (...terribly)], graphic design, web development projects (check http://afx.cc, http://douglaserogers.com)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on manhattan during 9/11. that was pretty crazy. umm...i've seen several cirque du soleil shows, which were all 'amazing'. spent 4 days in vegas with 15 of my closest friends, which was also 'amazing'. I spent a week on a sailboat sailing around guadeloupe, also 'amazing'... the bungy jump at nevis was pretty legit, although it seems everything in NZ is legit. There's not a lot of tourist traps there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna learn another language. also, the piano. and drums. and to juggle.

and the harmonica. i just got one.
