About Me

I'm an adventurous guy who thrives on meeting new people and trying to learn a little something from everyone who crosses my path. I love the great outdoors and the natural world, so when I travel, hiking, mountaineering, camping, kitesurfing and seeing unique wildlife are top of my list.

The UK is where I grew up, but I've spent quite a bit of time travelling and living in South America. Along the way, I've picked up some of the Latin culture and attitude, which nicely counterbalances my British politeness. I'm now living in London where I work full time helping charities to grow and become more sustainable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately I can't really host at the moment (I haven't yet convinced my housemates). But I do love to show people around London and share with them a bit of British culture - if such a thing exists!

I've used couchsurfing on and off for years - I've surfed, done multi days trips with other travellers and even convinced some of my sceptical friends to join. I've used couchsurfing in the UK, Philippines, Mexico, Brasil and Australia, had some great experiences and met some amazing people.

Interests

Philosophy, economics (I read a lot of non fiction that many people probably find dreary!), learning new languages, reading, the outdoors, Anything that allows me to learn something new or experience something unique.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunrise above the clouds on New Year's Day whilst making the final ascent to the summit of Ritacuba Blanco in Colombia.
