About Me

I am originally from Poland but have lived in London for the last 15 years... I work for a coffee company, which is almost my dream job as I get to drink lots of good coffee every day! :D

I love travelling, adventure, meeting interesting people, making new friendships, dancing (Modern Jive, Salsa, R&B, Rock&Roll...any type of dance really), good food, good wine and collecting amazing memories!

Life is all about amazing experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of paying it forward - so rare nowadays to help others just with hope of others helping you one day too. This is why I love the CS idea! I love to host my friends and family when they visit London, so why not do it for the likeminded travellers and make new friends in the process!

Having travelled quite a bit now, I always look for ways to get the real experience of the place, and that can only be done by meeting locals and experiencing the place with the people who know it best. I think the best experience so far was living with a local family in a small village in Thailand - the bed was a wooden table outside of the "house", driving around the village on top of their old pick up truck, and eating home cooked meals made of...anything they could find in the garden, including a snake!

Likewise, having lived in London for so many years, I love to share the real experience of the city (e.g. rush hour commuting ahahaha) and its beauty, whether it's the most popular tourist attractions, or the hidden gems that I stumbled upon and discovered myself throughout the years. I will also happily share my knowledge of the practical things, like transport, cheapest ways to get around, best jazz bars and free events.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done was a sailing trip on a 100 years old schooner - two weeks in the ocean and 1000 nautical miles! An unforgettable adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to meet interesting people and listen to their stories, adventures, experiences. There is so much to learn from others!

I play some piano and guitar, love singing, and dancing is what brings a smile to my face. I learn Italian (slowly but surely) and understand some French, as my sister lives in France and I get to visit often. I love travelling and always search for new experiences, whether it's sailing, rock climbing, being an extra in movies or flash mob dancing! I will try anything once :)

I also tend to bump into quite a few celebrities so I will probably share my stories about them too ;)

I love learning new languages, even if it's just a few words, and usually get really enthusiastic about it when I get new friends from all over the world. Quite recently I started learning Turkish - not an easy one I tell you! haha

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I'm your guest - you'll find that I am a very kind, polite, balanced and clean person. I like to treat people the same way as I would like to be treated, and the same goes for the places I stay in. If you are kind enough to host me, I can do no less than being grateful and making my stay as pleasant and trouble-free as I can.

I love to travel, and when I do, I tend to choose the real experience over the tourist attractions, so if you'd like to show me around your city and socialize - I'll be delighted! I'm very easy going, adaptable and drama free. I can teach you a few words in Polish if you are mad enough to want to learn this super difficult language hahaha. And I will definitely invite you to stay at my place in London in return :)
