COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

hosted for some dutch/french friends for 10 days around feb 2011. we recovered their stolen van, barbecued on the balcony, played lots of xbox, and one of them attempted to cook (word of caution: don't mix hot oil with raw potatoes and extra hot chilli's).

visited Joburg park station late at night and survived, trekked 6km through the african bush hunting Kudu in Zimbabwe. Barefoot.

when visiting countries of questionable stability in central/southern africa, things like cigarettes, high sugar foods, first aid kits and bicycle pump valves are highly sought after and can become powerful bargaining tools.
and always, always take the blue pill. It's just not worth it, man.
