Overview
About Me
I'm trying to put a witty one-liner here to make you at least smile while reading my profile but I can't currently think about it so I'll just write random things about me.
I am an Indonesian, currently studying physics, living in Erlangen, Germany. I like talking to people as well as connecting with them, and although I can be quite silent on one moment, I could be talkative at subsequent seconds.
Knowing people from all around the world is something I am aiming for. As a kid I had always stared at the globe while spinning it, pointing to a place, and imagining if I would be there one day.
PHILOSOPHY:
I am not Immanuel Kant, what do you expect to be written here?
MISSION:
Getting as much as I could from this app. I would even give as much as I could give in the future, but there are still things to sort out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like to know new people and get into deep with their cultures. Moreover, I also join local events wherever there is any, and get involved in the local Couchsurfing scene when I have time. I organise some of the weekly meetings in Nuremberg as well as some events in Erlangen, too!
Interests
I hike, I do sports, and I mostly utter random facts that I know out of nowhere. And as a natural scientist I'm curious as hell so I might ask things out of the blue, like, "what kind of insects you have in your garden?"
And I love puns too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers!!! They've been awesome since I'm in my childhood. I also enjoy listening to the likes of Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden. My taste of music is fairly broad.
Book: Currently my favourite is After Dark by Haruki Murakami.
Film: The Shawshank Redemption, Batman Begins, Interstellar (only the science parts though, the storyline was pretty...... dull?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran from Wöhrder Wiese to Nürnberg main railway station deep in the night to catch the last train, otherwise I'd have to wait for 3 hours for the night bus. Normally it should take me 25 minutes on foot but I managed to run one third of the supposed duration and arrived at the platform just split seconds before the train departed.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can give you insights about physics, materials science, and some mathematics. However I am aware that most of those things could be really tedious to learn, even to myself. I can also teach Indonesian phrases and how to cook some of the meals. Prepare quite a lot of time, however, since most of them take long hours to cook.
Learn: Your mother tongue and your culture. I am also a good listener who wants to know your stories if you don't mind to tell. Knowing the history of your place won't hurt, too! Since I am a huge fan of food, it is really beneficial if I can learn how to cook the authentic dish of your home country. Currently learning how to play chess, as well as trying to get a grasp on Italian and Spanish.
Share: Stories about my knowledge..... I'm not sure if it is enough for you but I'll certainly share everything I have in mind.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest, I can offer the host my cooking and canned beer from Germany. I will perhaps try to teach the hosts some basic Indonesian phrases.
If desired, I will bring Indonesian instant noodle to the host's place. It is said that eating the food is a religious experience ;)
I'm not only going to sleep on my host's place because definitely I want to learn something from the hosts! What I want to know is more to the customs of the country - or the region you are from.
Besides of learning from the hosts, I also want to make friend with them to expand my network. Therefore, I will try my best to spend as much as time I have (aside from exploring on my own) to talk with the hosts. Gaining experience and exchanging insights are always priceless for me.
Extra note: I will guarantee you a place for you in my city - wherever it is - if you visit my place.
