About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improve my life and myself, stop waisting my time and start living the life I always wanted to have!

Get used to a new life in Scotland...
Learn how to dance swing :)

ABOUT ME

Hmmm.. I love to travel, I want to learn, explore and find my place in the world.

I'm a tolerant, open minded, rather introverted person, I love listening to other people's stories and being inspired by them.

I've met more interesting people during travelling than I had met during the rest of my life spent in Lodz, where I always tried to be the same as others. Well, happily I didn't succeed in that and I'm really elated that I've realised how important it is to be myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed a couple of times (once in Poland, once in Croatia and 4-5 times in different regions of Spain) and each of them was a veeeeery good experience!

I could possibly host one person for a night or two, but I live with two other people so would have to ask them first.. so just drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.
(However, I work in the mornings on Saturdays and Sundays so weekend is not the best time for me to host).

Interests

Currently I'm taking some time out of the university, I've worked full-time in social care as a relief worker supporting adults with learning disabilities.. what can I say, it's a great job! So I would say that from a professional point of view social care/ social work is what I'm interested in, and this is what I could possibly devote to as a professional, too.

---------------------------
Apart from that...

I'm interested in everything that is a little different, not that which is obvious and stereotypical. I really enjoy volunteering, helping people and making the world a better place.

When I lived in Poland I tried to be rather active, to take part in festivals or to attend free lectures, movies and other events... we've got lots of these in Łódź!

As everybody here I love traveling :)
In general I prefer rather wild nature and little villages (mountains, hiking, camping etc.) to modern cities of Western Europe, but so far I've travelled rather to big cities than to National Parks or other "wilder" places.. So I hope to change it! And to hitchhike more often too :)

I like also museums of art, in the past few months I've visited quite a lot of them and I hope that this year I'll find some time to learn more about it.

Oh, I'm also kind of addicted to Spain (especially to the northern part of it), I know this country much better than my own one.. and I still have sooo many places left to discover there!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourtie book: Steppennwolf, Herman Hesse
Favourite movie: Into the wild
Music: various, but well, i.e. immortal The Beatles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here you have 3 decent ones:

Walking Camino de Santiago (from Pamplona) in 2013,

Becoming a vegetarian (which I still find as an important and a very good decision),

and beginning my workaway adventure- workaway.info is the best website ever! All of my volunteerings were unforgettable experiences- I've met many like-minded people, learned new skills, improved my English and became more open-minded

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be great to have an opportunity to exercise yoga more often too, but usually I'm too lazy to practise it on my own, so if you wanna join.. :)

I can give you some hints about analogue photgraphy- e.g. how to destroy a film 1 minute before developing it... haha, so well, maybe better no hints from me on that topic. But I can always take you a photo :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Positive energy, vegetarian food or a bottle of wine (if I have one at the moment ;)
Some hints about decent places in Łódź.
