About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rule the world, what else? :)

ABOUT ME

I am both adventurous and overly cautious.
Always bored and frequently too lazy to do things.
Sometimes smart, usually quite silly.
Occasionally daring, quite often shy.
There's a million things I am, and a trillion I am not.

There are so many things I could write here, that I honestly don't know where to start. But I can assure you I'm not nuts. I used to entertain myself by insulting people on the Internet, planning murders, eating small children or scaring guys on the streets, but that's now all behind me :)

To be serious, I like to think I'm a rather easy-going and open-minded person (like everyone else here, I know). I'm sometimes a little shy upon meeting new people, but once I get to know them, I always stand by my friends. I have trouble with staying put - I'm the type to act and then think, to be in million places at once. I'd rather regret doing something than wishing I had done it when I had the chance.

PHILOSOPHY
As a Great Philosopher Sir Terry Pratchett once wrote:
"Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened" - I would love to make sure the story is damn long and interesting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have both surfed with (more) and hosted (less often) people from CS community and it has been an amazing and unique experience each time.
I really like the sense of of familiarity that, for me, is connected with couch surfing. Whether I open my house for someone or I am the guest myself, I always experience this amazing atmosphere - even though I am meeting a complete stranger, I know that traveling is at least one passion that we share, and I know there's an interesting story to be discovered.

So, to sum it up, I love the fact that CS forces you to open yourself to the other person, to actually connect and talk, and laugh... It's a perfect way to make friends all over the world.

Interests

Everything that captures my attention. Travelling, of course, and making new friends. Other than that a bit of sports, movies, and good music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: just no horrors, please. My life is scary enough with the gruesome task of getting up too early in the morning.

Books: I'm really crazy about reading. I've read hundreds of books, so it's hard to think of my favourite ones. I guess The Discworld is way high on my list, and The Black Company series by G. Cook. Lately I've been reading some quantum physics books for dummies and I got enchanted. It's so darn complicated but absolutely amazing!

Music: I like every kind of music, but definitely rock is my favourite. I do good while playing music quizzes with my friends when it's the '70s, '80s, possibly '90s... I get lost on the way through 2000's and I'm completely confused with modern music, if it's not the top hits from the radio.
Apparently it IS easy to differentiate song from Rihanna and Beyonce. Or so people tell me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen heavy rain in the desert.
Also I've seen children being born- which is gross and scary, but still amazing.
I took part in 2 hitchhiking races. It was so absurdly bloody brilliant I don't even have words to describe that experience! <3

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably teach how to prepare some Polish dishes - I'm not taking the responsibility for letting me in the kitchen though. Also some Polish language, but it's difficult. And some other things that I can't think of right now.

I always try to learn to do something that local people do - not what tourists do ;)

Also, I'd like to know how to cook one local dish from every place I visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes, interesting stories, infectious laughter and long meaningful conversations late into the night.
