About Me
"Remember, the best part of your body is where it is headed and solitude is still time spent with the world" - Ocean Vuong.
I am immensly curious and I believe strongly, how Philip Pullman said — 'After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.' Travelling is a great way too feed both these desires.
The travelbug first caught me when (to my parents' great shock) I decided at 15 years old that I shall go and live in Finland for one year. Since then I have a second family (former host family) to shock and neverending wanderlust running through my veins.
I first studied languages and then switched to graphic and communication design. My main interest lies on illustration and I love to write, so with time I hope to move away from commercial design jobs and more and more towards writing and illustrating. (The first children's book I drew the pictures for was published last year :D!!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After travelling through South and North America for 6 months I have not only heard great things about Couchsurfing from fellow travellers, but I have realized how valuable homestays are to experience a local culture.
I would love to host in the future, once I actually have a couch to offer ;)
Interests
I am an aerial acrobat and nothing makes me quite as happy as being on my trapeze. Dancing in the air, listening to some music I like. This is only the single one reason why travelling sometimes sucks, I miss being in the air ;D
I love the outdoors and animals of all kind. Hiking is basically my ideal speed of travel.
Foxes are favourite animal and I am planning to learn how to sail in 2017 for I am forever in love with the ocean.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too much to choose from! I will always love Beasts of the Southern Wild and I can always listen to Sigur Rós. Books are constant companions I could not live without. I basically like everything that makes me question my current believes and/or that moves me, may it be towards tears or laughter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am amazed by both big and small things. Like night snorkelling with giant manta rays on Hawaii can give me the same feels as being watched by a hummingbird while taking a pee in the Colombian Andes. Often animals are involved but then again smiling at a stranger can do the same trick.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you have a rigging point, I can teach you how to fly ;) I am a qualified aerial silks instructor and when I am not travelling, I teach silks and trapeze at Aerial Silk Vienna.
Other than that I am good with Adobe PS, ID and Illustrator and I can draw/paint fairly well.
AND I make damn good vegan lasagne that I would love to prepare and share the recipe with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook and I make really badass vegan lasagne and cakes.
Travel tips for numerous destinations.
Once we are settled back in Austria obviously a couch in Vienna :)
