Overview
About Me
I was away from CS community for awhile. After completing my studies this June I feel that I need to go on a road before "getting back to the office chair". I'm going for some woofing and hitch-hiking. Looking forward to meeting CSs along my way!
+++++
Although, many say I am an extrovert and they know me, as Spanish say, "culo inquieto" (the one who can't stay still), I consider myself an introvert. I enjoy people's company, chatting, discussing, learning and teaching. However, I also need some calm time, alone, in nature. This is when I recharge.
PHILOSOPHY
"always look on the bright side of life"
even a negative experience is an experience. a lesson to be learnt.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
SURFING. Frankly, in the very beginning when I discovered CS, I considered it only as a cheaper way to travel (I was a student back then). However, very soon I started appreciating people I've met, their company, things they had to share with me and places to show me. Now I am very happy to meet "real" CS'ers who not only provide me a couch but also spend some time together: showing their city, going out or cooking a dinner together.
HOSTING. When I'm able to host people (pity, not always) I always try to share some time with my guests. I think this is the idea of CS!
When I settle down in a new place or travel alone I like attending CS gatherings/activities. And find new friends :)
I love telling people about my CS experiences and inviting them to join the community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a bit of everything.
While surfing, hosting or traveling I met some amazing people with whom I've shared great memories of traveling and discovering, of discussing and sharing. With few I've stayed friends.
I also had a negative experience with a guy in Barcelona who left me in a street in a middle of a night. But you know what I thought afterwards? - that one bad story could not recall all the nice experiences I've had (and I found a new host for the following night).

My first long living abroad experience (a year in Andalucia), quickly learning Spanish, traveling a lot, meeting people and living experiences which changed me..
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about my culture (or at least that Lithuania and Latvia is not the same country!), my language, our dishes (like that scary "pink soup"). EU law (anyone? it's not that boring!:D)
I can share my traveling experiences and those nuts or chocolate I usually carry with me.
I'm keen on learning so many things.. about other cultures, languages (to improve my French or Russian, to learn Arabic); to learn climbing outdoors!
