About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
- make the most out of 24 hours 7 days a week,
- progress with my career,
- move on from saving to investing (while making sure I always have a budget for annual exotic holidays)
- increase sleep time closer to 8 hours and increase sleep efficiency
- implement less waste approach in my daily life
ABOUT ME
Traveling has been my hobby since I was a teenager but my international experiences intensified when I did my Erasmus exchange year in France - I took every opportunity to go and see new places on the weekends and whenever I had a longer break between classes. Later on I went for master studies and did an MBA program, which involved studying in 4 countries (Germany, Poland, China, US). After graduation I stayed in the States and worked for a venture capital company. I loved working with startups but after 2,5 years I decided to go back to my home country and took a corporate job.
When I returned to Poland my goal was to repair my health and get rid off the 10 extra kilograms I gained while living in the US. That's why I started learning more about nutrition and started exploring ideas like keto diet and intermittent fasting, strength training vs cardio...and the importance of sleep ;)
I talk fast, I walk fast...my energy level tends to be above average although I don't consider myself hyper energetic. Still, I look for ways to have more energy to be able to achieve more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have been a guest twice, a host once and met other travelers to have company while exploring a new city
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not very significant...I'm a beginner in this area but willing to improve ;)
Interests
Human performance, power of brain, less waste approach, learning foreign languages and cultures, traveling.
My passion has always been dancing (mostly Brazilian samba but I've also tried most of latino and standard dances as well as reggaeton, funana and kizomba) and I still try to incorporate it into my busy lifestyle (even if it's only while brushing my teeth).
I like walking upstairs :) May it be the stairs of Warsaw skyscrapers, up the Elephant Mountain in Taipei or up the Great Wall of China...I'm always happy to take the stairs (unless I carry my 20+ kg heavy suitcase)

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have talent for music (neither can I sing nor play any instrument) - the only thing related to music I can do is to dance. If I listen to music, then I like those kinds that have a strong beat, ex. Brasilian music (batucada/funk), funana, dancehall, reggaeton...basically upbeat and energetic.
Books - I don't like reading books, I prefer news articles on the Internet as I believe information there is more up to date and it lets you explore different view points rather than the one presented by the book author.
Movies - I don't watch many but if I do, I like the kind of movies with lessons to take away like "The Pursuit Of Happyness"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- visiting 9 cities in 10 days
- staying in the Netherlands too late one evening just to realize the last train back to Germany already departed and I already had a ticket from Germany to Brussels for the next morning
- surviving a food poisoning in China which ended up in hospital
- surviving after being hit by a car
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share knowledge regarding human performance (related to nutrition, exercise and sleep) acquired so far. As for "hard skills" I can teach you languages (German, English, Polish) or a few dance moves/steps ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Theory regarding sleep efficiency (still working on turning theory into practice) and nutrition (interestingly there are different theories some of which are totally contradictory but all claiming various benefits).
- Insights into working at a venture capital company vs. in a corporation ;)
- My travel stories and insights into living in Florida and other places, where I lived
