Music, Movies, and Books
Music: anything really! Current favs include Hozier, Queen, The National, James Blake, Arctic Monkeys, Wyvern Lingo, and oh so many others. Just putting on Radio Swiss Jazz channel!
Movies: Studio Ghibli and Disney, "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Jeux d'Enfants", "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Like all the musicals, especially Wicked and Rent. A huge fan of TV series, like Black Mirror, Westworld, Game of Thrones, of course!
Books: currently highly in love with and going through all the books of Haruki Murakami and Herman Hesse. Also Richard Bach "The Bridge Across Forever", most Paulo Coelho books but especially "The Alchemist", Gabriel García Márquez "One Hundred Years of Solitude", and many many many others. Absolutely adore fantasy books, e.g. The Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, The Bartimaeus Sequence by Jonathan Stroud, Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle and others!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Achieved travelception level 4: from my temporary "base" in Florence where I have moved for the PhD, I packed up a hand luggage to stay in Germany for a couple of months of secondment, from where I took a weekend trip to Milano for a concert, from where I did a day-trip to Torino to meet up with a friend. Nothing super fantastic, just a funny glimpse of the crazy world of travel :D
P.S. if my home-home Lithuania, where most of my things are anyway, counts too - it would be travelception level 5 :D
Teach, Learn, Share
Interested in the basics of Lithuanian language?
Or some basic moves of self-defense/ martial arts?
Or learning like a dozen of new card games?
Or some origami?
Or having an existential conversation?
What I Can Share with Hosts
All of the above! Care for some afternoon tea? :D
We can most definitely share adventures if you have any time to spare while I am at your corner of the world!
