About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see, to experience, to wander.

ABOUT ME

Oh, crikey. I`m a pretty positive person, but hopefully not annoyingly sunshiney. My most persistent quality is one of curiosity: I just WONDER. And so I wander. I love seeing new places and meeting new people (cliche!), but it`s true. I`m on this 8 month trip covering two continents because I feel this great wanderlust, this immense curiosity about other places and the people in them. That`s not to say it`s always easy, but I think that`s part of the point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far! Just some positive stories heard from friends and fellow travellers.

Interests

Let`s see - I love all crafts, especially knitting. I love watching and playing sports: watching soccer, american football, hockey, and doing running, yoga, swimming. I read a ton (I am, after all, a librarian), I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, wandering around cities, drinking coffee in adorable sidewalk cafes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let`s do some authors instead, shall we? Some of my favorite authors are Jorge Luis Borges, Lauren Groff, Anthony Doerr, Karen Russell, Haruki Murakami. In short, literary fiction.

Musicians and groups I listen to constantly are The Thermals, The Gaslight Anthem, Josh Ritter, The Arctic Monkeys, Sleater Kinney, Bruce Springsteen - which is to say, rock, punk, folk, most anything except rap (and even then, sometimes...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkelling right next to a whale shark was pretty stunning (huge mouth! tiny eye!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am super skilled at recommending books. I can teach how to knit, and some basic crochet. I can teach everday French.

I would love to learn how to weave, or any other craft. I`d llke to learn more recipes or ways of cooking. I`m also trying to learn and practice Spanish!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Cameroon, China, Mozambique, United Kingdom
