About Me

lam Krishna , 29 years old from Maharashtra , India. I love traveling and it has been a big focus of my life. I have used Couchsurfing in a lot of my travels and even met my partner while hosting him. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to meet interesting people from all over the world and share interests and experiences.
I am open to new meetings, new friends and new experiences. I like many different things and love to learn from other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The biggest advantage of Couchsurfing is to meet locals. By inviting you for free into their home, they are generally expecting more than just exchanging a few words at your arrival. Talking with your hosts, getting to know them will teach you more about the country you travelled to than any tour you might join.

Though meeting and staying with your hosts will certainly be great, you’ll soon realize that the benefits of Couchsurfing go far beyond that. Adapting to different lifestyles, homes, cultures and traditions will make you both more sociable and flexible in your travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to foreign countries alone. I spent years waiting for someone to come along with me on a vacation somewhere. Everyone I knew was either busy or didn't have enough money to travel. After a couple years passed I realized that I had not gone to any of the places I wanted to because I was always waiting on other people. Eventually I got up enough courage to just start buying round trip tickets to countries I had never been but longed to see. The first country I visited was Israel . I was a bit scared at first but I kept my wits about me and just traveled cautiously.

I was able to travel at my own pace and eat wherever I desired. I was able to take a million photographs and talk to the natives (something I would be less inclined to do if traveling with a partner). I also discovered that I was a lot more courageous than I thought.

Should you decide to travel alone please note: Traveling alone can be scary at times so make sure you read up on where you are visiting before going. Also, make sure someone knows what country you're going to and what hotel/hostel you’re sleeping in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You meet more people.

You stay in different parts of the town or city you’re in.

The culture of the community from one neighbourhood to the next can be wildly different

The cafes, restaurants and bars differ from one district to the next.

There may be more things to do in one neighbourhood than in another.
